We take no cut of what you raise
No platform fee, no listing fee, no advance. The only amount deducted from a contribution is Razorpay's processing charge — and a funder can tick a box to cover that too.
| Project type | Our fee | Payment gateway | Advance fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support an Idea | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
| Crowd Favourite | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
| Support a Charity | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
| Support a Recovery | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
| Support a Personal Cause | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
| Support an Event | 0% | ~2.36% (Razorpay) | ₹0 |
The gateway charge is Razorpay's, not ours: 2% on the payment plus 18% GST on that 2%, so about 2.36% of the amount paid. It is deducted by Razorpay before the money reaches the project.
Funders can cover the fee
Checkout has a “cover the processing fee” box, on by default. With it ticked your payment is grossed up by the gateway's cut — about ₹12 on a ₹500 contribution — so the project receives the round number you intended. Untick it and the fee comes out of the project's share instead.
The optional tip
Checkout also offers a tip toward running this platform, shown as a separate line in the total. It starts at 10% and you can set it to None in one tap. It is never taken from the project's money, and skipping it changes nothing about your contribution.
Why 0% is possible
We run this ourselves — our own code, our own Razorpay account, our own review team. There is no investor waiting on a percentage. If that ever has to change, it will be written on this page before it changes anywhere else.
Tax receipts
Every contribution gets an itemised receipt showing the amount to the project, the processing fee, and the receiving organisation. That receipt is a payment acknowledgement — it is not an 80G tax-exemption certificate. Where the organisation hosting a project holds 80G registration, that certificate is issued by them directly; ask on the project page before you contribute if you need one.
